Ivan Visconti
Ivan Visconti got his Laurea (M.Sc. equivalent) cum laude in Computer Science in 1998 (first in his class) and his PhD in Computer Science in 2003 from Università di Salerno. Then he has been a post-doctoral researcher in Paris, at the Département d'Informatique of the École Normale Supérieure, and the assistant/associate/full professor at the University of Salerno.
Ivan Visconti has served as Senior Area Editor of IEEE Transactions on Information Forensics and Security (T-IFS). In 2020 he received a Certificate of Merit "for outstanding editorial board service for the IEEE Transactions on Information Forensics and Security". In 2022 he got the best paper award for the conference CANS.
Ivan Visconti's research focuses on advanced cryptographic notions and tools for data protection and their applications to Blockchain Technology. He has been a local scientific coordinator for the H2020 European project "PRIViLEDGE" (Privacy-Enhancing Cryptography in Distributed Ledgers), that focused on security Blockchain technology and their applications (2018-2021) and of the MIUR project "PrepAring cRypTograpHy for privacy-awarE blockchaiN applicatiONs (PARTHENON)".
Results of his research have been published in the most important worldwide conferences on theoretical computer science (ACM STOC (1), IEEE FOCS (2)) cryptography (IACR CRYPTO 11), IACR EUROCRYPT (6)) and security (ACM CCS (1), NDSS (1), IEEE S&P (1)). He has been several times program committee member of IACR conferences, of IEEE FOCS 2018 and of EATCS ICALP 2015 (track A). See csrankings.org to have an idea about the importance of some conferences in computer science. Se also the IACR ranking on publications in top conferences in cryptography.
