Tommaso Giovannelli
Tommaso Giovannelli graduated in Management Engineering in October 2017 at Sapienza University of Rome (summa cum laude), where since November 2018 he has been attending the ABRO PhD program in Operations Research (MAT-09). He belongs to the Department of Computer Engineering, Automation and Management Antonio Ruberti (DIAG, formerly Department of Computer and Systems Engineering), at the Faculty of Information Engineering, Informatics and Statistics of Sapienza University of Rome. In 2018 he was tutor for Mathematics courses at the Faculty of Economics. Since January 2020 he has been a visiting scholar in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Lehigh University, Bethlehem, PA.

- Derivative-Free Optimization
- Simulation-based Optimization
- Operations Research applied to Healthcare Management
In 2019 he received two awards:
- Winner for the Doctoral student with an impactful topic and research approach at Doctoral Consortium ORAHS (Operational Research Applied to Health Services) 2019, Karlsruhe;
- Best challenge award at Euro PhD Summer School 2019 in Lisbon for the team’s outstanding performance and valuable contribution to the challenge: The oncological patient pathway along the health system: how to improve it?.
Excellent Graduated Student of the Faculty of Information Engineering, Informatics, and Statistics in the academic year 2016-2017, Fondazione Roma Sapienza.
